Professional Experience

Founder and Managing Director Deshavri Global Pharmaceuticals LLP. Knowledge of Ayurveda as part of the formal training and three decades experience in state administration and it’s flagship commercial organization has come handy for conceiving, creating and running Deshavri Pharmaceutical in a professional manner.

Deshavri Global Pharmaceuticals envisions to come out with Herbal & Herbo- mineral formulations having time-tested therapeutic, preventive and nourishing values – given to us by our Seer-scientists. It aims to develop perfect blend between the scientific legacies of yore and technological advancements of modern times. It endeavors to bring Ayurveda out of oblivion for the benefit of the Society at Large, to fulfill the ancient prayer “Sarvey Santu Nirmaya” which means “ALL BE HEALTHY”.Keeping in view this vision Deshavri signed an MOU with CSIR (Council for scientific and industrial research Lucknow) and CIMAP (Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Lucknow) and EMRC (Ethno Medicinal Research Center Hengbung).

For the better integration of industry research and academia I have been made member of Health Pharmacy and Wellness Committee of PHDC chamber of commerce, Chandigarh a regional chapter.

I am also associate member of AYUSHEXCIL  created by (Ministry of Ayush, Govt. of India).

While working in the above said capacities, being part of the top management, took many new initiatives and innovated many policies and plans which created a win-win situation for all the stakeholders.

All these organizations work for the social and economic betterment/amelioration of the lower strata of the society and have an inherent intent of social responsibility.

Prominent Achievement

●     Designed, Formulated and implemented the debt relief Scheme for marginal & Small Farmers of the State which touched around 7 Lakh rural families

●     Prepared an analytical document vividly explaining the merger of Distt. Cooperative Banks to create one single large entity, approved by the State Cabinet and finally submitted to RBI whose approval is in the offing

●     Strongly presented the case of bringing structural changes in policy driven credit structure for the agriculture in the State of Punjab and National level, before NITI AYOG. The plea accepted by the NITI AYOG  and a high power National Level Committee constituted for the purpose

●     As member of the National Committee constituted under advise of NABARD, formulated the HR Policy for the employees of PACS for whole of the Nation.

●     Worked to implement the concept of PURA (i.e providing Urban facilities in the Rural Area) by creating multipurpose cooperative societies in the villages. For the first time in the Nation the policy of providing Diesel Pump to the Primary Credit Societies in the Rural Area were provided to supply the Diesel, creating win-win situation for all stake holders.

●      Prepared and finalized a road map of Freight Policy for supply of Fertilizer to Rural credit Societies bringing in complete transparency in the operation

●     Helped formulate and implement the policy of making the Primary Agricultural Cooperative Society  a multipurpose entity. It helped them to be economically viable and brought services at the door step of the Farmers.

●     An initiative has been taken to organize, first of its kind, an autonomous MULTI BRAND store in Cooperative Sector. The store is already a success and can be a localized, customized response to the multi-national brand as it has strong backward integration with the Rural Masses. 

●     Marketing strategies were designed for Marketing Federation (MARKFED) which enhanced its business turn over by many folds especially for cattle field, Agro-Chemicals, Indian Curries and Prepositioning of the Fertilizer in the Rural Area before the onset of the respective sowing seasons.

●     Many schemes were started at the village level to help the farmers and the village folk with the help of NABARD,MARKFED MILKFED and Cooperative Development Society catering to the corporate social responsibility of various institutions listed above.

●     Many self help groups and joint liability groups were created to help reach the institutional credit to them,develop their skills and arrange marketing of their products.

●     Many of the initiatives listed above, were beyond the call of my duty, were undertaken to help the society at large.

●     Conferred the Award of Best Officer in the year 2009-10 by the Citizen UCB.

●     Accorded Gold Medal in Theatrical Arts by Punjabi University Patiala represented in the year 1982-83

●     Got commendation while representing Punjabi University in the Intervarsity Youth Festival in  Theatrical Arts (1982-83)

●     Won silver Medal in Punjabi University Youth Festival in Mono-Acting

●     Got State Scholarship in academics in 5^th Standards, 8^th Standards, Merit in 10^th Standard and Scholarship in Pre-Professional Classes.
